The philosophy behind my practice

About Mindful Pathways

At the heart of my work lies a belief that healing begins with awareness, a reconnection between mind, body, and rhythm. This is a space for slowing down, tuning in, and remembering the wisdom already within you.

Our work together isn’t about fixing what’s wrong; it’s about understanding what your body and mind are trying to say. Whether through therapy, mindfulness, or movement, we focus on helping you build the inner tools to move through life with balance and strength.

Every story is welcome here. Every emotion has space. Through compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care, we walk with you as you rediscover your own rhythm of healing.

About Maral Azimi

Maral Azimi is a Toronto-based psychotherapist, educator, and doctoral candidate whose work bridges science, mindfulness, and the wisdom of the body. An alumna of The Metropolitan University and the University of Toronto, she integrates evidence-based research with a deep respect for the body’s innate intelligence , believing that healing begins where the mind and body meet.

Her approach is both scientific and soulful: grounded in research, guided by rhythm, and rooted in presence. With experience across private practice, hospitals, and community settings, Maral helps clients access the awareness beneath thought and the strength within the body, guiding them toward balance, resilience, and self-trust.

Currently completing her doctoral research in psychotherapy, Maral’s work explores psychedelic-assisted therapy for pain and PTSD, expanding how we understand healing through integrative and body-centered approaches.

As the founder of Harmony and Pulse, she extends this philosophy beyond the therapy room, creating a preventative wellness space where therapy, rhythm, and movement align to help people learn before the storm and heal with harmony.

For Maral, therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken; it’s about remembering what’s whole, and finding your way back home to yourself.
