The philosophy behind my practice

About Mindful Pathways

At the core of my work is the belief that healing begins with awareness — a deeper connection between the mind and body.

Rather than focusing on fixing what is “wrong,” I focus on understanding what your system is communicating — emotionally, cognitively, and physically.

My approach integrates psychotherapy, nervous system awareness, and body-based practices to support meaningful, lasting change.

This work is grounded in both evidence-based care and a respect for the body’s innate capacity to regulate, adapt, and heal.

About Maral Azimi

Maral Azimi is a Toronto-based psychotherapist, educator, and doctoral candidate in psychotherapy and counselling.

Her work integrates psychotherapy, nervous system regulation, and body-based approaches, with a focus on how stress, trauma, and modern life impact both the mind and the body.

She has experience across private practice, hospital settings, and community environments, supporting individuals in developing awareness, resilience, and sustainable emotional regulation.

Maral is currently completing her doctoral research in psychotherapy, with a focus on integrative and body-centered approaches to healing. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice and informed by current research in mental health.

She is also the founder of Harmony and Pulse, a platform dedicated to preventative mental health, movement, and nervous system education.

Her approach is integrative and grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative and strengths-based approaches, while incorporating nervous system regulation and body-based practices.
